Troubleshoot Common Multicollab Installation Errors
If you’re experiencing issues with Multicollab, this guide covers the most common problems — from file uploads and license key errors to update issues.

Issue: The plugin files won't upload.
If you're unable to upload the Multicollab .zip
file to your WordPress site:
- Ensure you are uploading the file via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin
- Check that your server’s file upload limit is sufficient
Issue: I Didn’t Receive My Plugin or License Key Email
- Check your Spam or Junk folders
- The confirmation email is sent to the address used during purchase
Issue: License Key Not Working
- Your license key is included in the confirmation email
- Enter it in WordPress Admin > Multicollab > Licenses
- A valid license is required for activation and future updates
Issue: Plugin Won’t Update from Dashboard
If you're unable to update the plugin via Plugins > Multicollab > Update, this may be caused by:
- An inactive or expired license key
- File permission issues on your server
- Temporary caching conflicts
Manual Update Instructions:
- Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins
- Deactivate Multicollab
- Delete the plugin (don’t worry — your settings and data are preserved)
- Click Add New > Upload Plugin
- Choose the
.zip
file from your email or account dashboard - Click Install Now, then Activate
