How to attach document to comments

The Attach Document feature in Multicollab lets you provide extra context by uploading files alongside your comments or replies. Whether it’s a screenshot, screencast, or written doc, you can help your team understand your feedback clearly and visually.

What You Can Attach

Collaborators can attach files directly from their device or from the WordPress Media Library. Supported file formats include:

  • .jpg
  • .png
  • .doc
  • .pdf

This allows for versatile feedback such as adding annotated screenshots, draft documents, or even client instructions, right within the comment thread.

How to Attach Documents

  1. Select a block (text or media) inside the Gutenberg editor
  2. The Multicollab Floating Toolbar will appear on the right
  3. Click the Add Comment icon (💬➕)
  4. Click the Attachment icon (📎) to upload your file
  5. (Optional) Add a comment to provide context
  6. Click Comment to save
