You need WordPress 5.6+ with the Gutenberg editor enabled. PHP 7.4+ is recommended.
How many users can collaborate at once?
Up to 5 users can edit the same post in real-time collaboration mode. For suggestions, users can collaborate asynchronously.
Does it work with the Classic Editor?
No, Multicollab only supports the block editor (Gutenberg). The classic editor is not compatible.
Can I use the plugin on the frontend (e.g., for members)?
No. Multicollab is designed only for the WordPress admin/backend. It does not support frontend usage or frontend commenting.
Does the free version limit comment types?
No, the free version lets you comment on any Gutenberg block. Advanced features like suggestion mode are Pro-only.
Does Multicollab support voice typing like Google Docs?
No, voice input is not supported.
