How Slack + Notifications integration work?

Types of Slack Notifications Provided by the Multicollab App

Authorized users can configure Slack notifications within the Multicollab Settings (Admin Dashboard > Multicollab > Integrations > Slack > Settings), which will be displayed in the channel selected while enabling the Slack integration.

You can choose from the following activities that you want your team to be notified of within Slack:

• Add Comment
• Add Suggestion
• Resolve Comment
• Accept/Reject Suggestion.

Add Comment

When a user adds a new comment or adds a new reply with or without a file attachment to an existing comment thread in a post/page, these Slack notifications will be displayed to the users: New Comment, Reply to comment and add an attachment to the comment/reply.

When a user mentions other users using the @mention functionality in a comment/reply in an existing comment thread in a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users: Mentions team members in the comments.

When a user mentions other users using the @mention functionality in a comment/reply and then assigns/reassigns them a comment thread in a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users: Assign comment threads.

Add Suggestion

When a user adds a suggestion on a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users: New Suggestion.

When a user adds a new reply with or without a file attachment to an existing suggestion thread in a post/page, these Slack notifications will be displayed to the users - Reply to comment (in this case, suggestion) and Add an attachment to the comment/reply.

When a user mentions other users using the @mention functionality in a reply in an existing suggestion thread in a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users - Mentions team members in the comments.

Resolve Comment Threads

When a user resolves/deletes an existing comment thread (we are talking about deleting the whole comment thread and not a single reply) in a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users - Resolve a comment thread.

Accept/Reject Suggestions

When a user resolves a suggestion by accepting or rejecting it in a post/page, this Slack notification will be displayed to the users - Accept / Reject Suggestion.
